The Bacurinha emerged in the 90s, having a smaller size than the Repinique. Initially designed to follow the Timbal in the Axés and the Timbalada. Three .nki rhythms files with 3 different tempos and more than 180 loops, along with Single Hits and FX.

The Instrument
This new library brings a selection of unique and very distinct instruments used in Brazil. Instruments like the Ocean Drum with a relaxing sound, which simulates the sound of ocean waves. The trovador, or tambor de mola, which simulate the sounds of thunder and winds. A pair of bottle caps, in Portuguese, molho de tampinhas, which bring a unique sound of rain hitting surfaces. A bunch of keys, or Molho de chaves, a totally handmade instrument that also brings a unique sound effect. A neck necklace, which has a more crystal sound. A Conduit, which is a protective duct for electrical cables, but can be used as a musical instrument, bringing a peculiar wind sound. And finally a Flex-a-tone, an instrument widely used in cartoons and animations.
Performance
In this session we have a performance of the percussion master Robson Batata.
Gear
Recording using a pair of Neumann KM184 and a AKG C414. The preamp section used was a pair of Chandler Germ 500 MK2, a pair of Millennia HV-35 and a Shadow Hills Dual Vandergraph Compressor (-1DB GR) on Room Mics, routed in a Apogee Ensemble MK2.

The new GUI comes with a better level meters on each microphone, in addition to a wider waveform display, making loops easier to view and making the assembly of grooves simpler. Also, a text parameters on each Knob and a Standard format display of effects in all new UI’s (V4).
