The Instrument
The performance of these rhythms present the peculiarity of the use of the bacalhau stick – a thin stick, approximately 35 cm long, made of tree branches, bamboo, coconut straw sticks or synthetic material (nylon or plastic) that strikes the lower membrane with the left hand.
